Clean Cuts

One of the more interesting features of 3430 is the front patio encased in geometrically-cut cinder block.  I cleaned the hell out of this 'fence' first by using the metal top piece of a fingernail clipper to scrape decades of brown & green moss off.  (Yes, I'm crazy but it was faster than you think.)  Next, using a touch of Tide & water, I scrubbed both fence sides, top & pillars with a thick-bristled hand brush & finally a skinny brush to get inside the cut-outs.  Although it's not immaculate, it's vastly improved & these fetching square shapes can finally tango in the afternoon sun once again.

(This turtle sealed the deal for someone to buy the house.)

(Chimney got a heavy duty rub down too & bush got a haircut.)

(What plant better says 'Welcome?'  Thanks to a very thoughtful free pile on Fremont & 77th.)

    1. One ear fell off while planting so I placed it in nice wet composty dirt close by. Let's hope they both grow into big pricklers.
